A Balanced Ministry

 

It is our desire at Living Streams to have a Balanced Ministry. A ministry rich in both the leading of the Holy Spirit, and the guidance of the Word of God. We look to the early Acts Church as our example and goal as God directs Living Streams by his grace. 

 

Our Vision

The Bible

 

We place a very high value on the Word of God in our personal lives and in all of our congregational services. We believe the Bible is to be applied to our lives on a daily basis as the Holy Spirit teaches us how to walk in his ways. 

 

His Return

 

We await the return of Jesus Christ to this earth as King of Kings. It is only by His Return that peace and righteousness will be established in this world. We look for his bodily return and a visible earthly kingdom to be set up upon his arrival. Therefore we study the Bible including the prophetic scriptures that we might learn what he has planned in his sovereignty.

 

Lordship

 

Jesus said that we must deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow Him.  He also said that if we seek to gain our life we will lose it, but if we lose our life for his sake we will find it. We believe the Lord is to be first in our lives above everything else. 

 

The Holy Spirit

 

The Holy Spirit is our guide, comforter and helper. It is through Him that Jesus directs his church.  We look to the Holy Spirit to direct Living Streams and guide us into the ministry that he has prepared for us. 

 

Servanthood

 

Jesus declared that the greatest in the kingdom of God is the servant of all. We recognized him to be the greatest and his example is to be followed and implemented personally into our lives. Leadership and Servanthood are synonymous terms at Living Streams. 

 

The Grace of God

 

We understand that it is purely by his grace that we are saved from the wrath to come, not of works and not of our human effort. We can add nothing to our salvation for it is brought to us because of his great love.

 

Teaching Ministry

 

Our teaching ministry is expository and generally verse by verse through the Bible. We have found this to be the most effective method of teaching the Bible. Additionally the believer receives the whole counsel of God in the process and the teacher’s agenda is set by the Bible itself. 

 

Prayer

 

Prayer is the spearhead of all of our ventures. It is my prayer that God directs our church and leads us in the direction we should go.

 

Worship

 

The ultimate goal of Living Streams is to be a worshiper of God.
